Q. How is Essential Verification better than Basic Verification?

A. Basic Verification provides general reassurance that a Chinese company exists and is officially registered. Essential Verification goes beyond that by giving you access to the company's complete registration record, fully translated and explained. With more information you can make a better-informed decision about doing business with the company.

Q. How long will it take to get my report?
A. We process Essential Verification reports in 1 working day, China time (CST). In general you will receive your report within 24 hours, excluding weekends. Note that our reports are manually researched and verified using live information sources, and are not automatically generated.

Q. What does Essential Verification cover? 
A. Essential Verification report covers a Mainland China company. This refers to any company in mainland China (excluding Taiwan and Hong Kong).

Q. Where does the information come from?
A. We identify and verify companies using information from a range of official government sources and third party databases. Business registration data is provided by the Administration for Industry and Commerce of each province.

Q. How long is the verification valid for?
A. As a company’s registration details could change at any time, strictly speaking our verification is confirmed only at the time of research.

Q. What information do I need to provide in order to buy a company verification report?
A. In order to verify a Chinese company, we require:

1. the company name (in English or Chinese)

2. any additional identifying information on this Chinese company. For example, company website, Alibaba profile, address & phone number, the scan/image of business card, invoice, contract, banking information, etc.

Providing more detailed information helps us to ensure the accuracy of our verification and provide you with your report quicker.

Q. Can I upgrade to Certified Verification or Full Historical Record after ordering Essential Verification?

A. Yes. We can produce an Essential Verification report in the usual turnaround time. If you then decide you'd like to upgrade to Certified Verification or Full Historical Record, we can arrange payment of the difference and prepare an updated report.

Q. What happens if the company isn't registered?

A. If the company proves not to be registered we will refund the difference in cost between an Essential Verification and Basic Verification report. Where applicable, for reports ordered via PayPal, this partial refund will be processed within 10 working days. For reports ordered via other payment methods we offer credit from this partial refund on future reports. In cases where we determine that the company is registered in Hong Kong, but not in Mainland China, we will provide you with the company's Hong Kong registration details equivalent to our Essential Verification (HK) report, rather than offering a partial refund.
